Staycation, all I ever wanted.

Yes, it seems my summer will be yet another “staycation.” Though I’ll be staying in my own home for its duration, I’d certainly choose one of these fabulous Dallas Airbnbs if I really wanted to feel like I was a tourist in my native city.

Dallas Vintage Kitsch–Las Stregas // 5 stars

vintage kitsch

Neighborhood: Oak Cliff

Guests Allowed: 2

Price: $105 per night

Cool Perks: This retro home has just the right amount of kitsch. I can just picture myself kicking back on that furry animal print sofa to watch the vintage TV. And if the mint green paint and wood ceilings and floors weren’t enough to convince you to stay, it’s also five minutes from Bishop Arts and 10 minutes from downtown and Deep Ellum.

Featured Review: “What a charming place to stay! Payton and Krash were great and their suggestions and knowledge of the area helped to make the stay! LOVE the decor, they have a great collection of the blast from the past. We recommend you spend two or three days just stomping around the Bishop Arts District, Oak Cliff is definitely coming back!! They were there if you needed something but we had complete privacy. Everything you need to be at home. Great place.” (From Cedar Park, TX- February 2016)

Contemporary Townhouse in Oak Lawn // 5 stars

contemporary townhouse

Neighborhood: Oak Lawn

Guests Allowed: 2

Price: $115 per night

Cool Perks: This townhouse is cozy and perfectly pristine with its minimalist color schemes, an elegant fireplace, and a wonderful balcony. It’s walking distance to Uptown bars and restaurants and has a great backyard.

Featured Review: “David’s house is beautiful and in the perfect location to walk everywhere. He was flexible and always available at a moment’s notice to answer questions. The place was spotless and provided all accommodations necessary. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend to anyone looking for a place in Dallas!” (From Denton, TX- January 2016)

Airstream Oasis in Lower Greenville // 5 stars

airstream oasis

Neighborhood: Lower Greenville

Guests Allowed: 3

Price: $97 per night

Cool Perks: If you’re in the market for an offbeat lodging for a stay in Dallas, try out this contemporary Airstream trailer designed by Design Within Reach’s Christopher Dean. It’s a prime Lower Greenville location and features an outdoor grill and firepit.

Featured Review: “Ben and Marin were great hosts! They were super friendly and hospitable. We were made sure that it was convenient to check in and check out. Everything was very laid back, quaint and comfortable. The Airstream is about as cute as it gets… with all the essentials for a cozy comfortable stay. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, hot water for showers, refrigerator and stove top, etc. They even offered us fresh farm eggs from their chickens in their yard! I’d love to come back again sometime!” (From Austin, TX- April 2016)

Charming ‘M Streets’ Guest Cottage // 5 stars

m streets guest cottage

Neighborhood: Lower Greenville

Guests Allowed: 4

Price: $97 per night

Cool Perks: This adorable cottage with its wood and yellow accents is a warm, sunshine-y oasis. It offers easy access to Greenville Avenue, the Arts District, and White Rock Lake. Plus, I’m a sucker for a lofted sleeping space.

Featured Review: “Amy’s cottage is lovely and exactly as pictured. Tucked away in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood and thoughtfully decorated, this space was exactly what we needed. The location is perfect, close to the action in downtown and on Greenville Ave, but also accessible to most major highways in 5-7 mins. If you’re looking to get a feel for what it’s like to live in Dallas, relax and do/eat as the locals do, this is your place!” (From Boston, Massachusetts- May 2016)
