When beginning the kitchen-design process, what do you like a client to come in with?
I like them to have an idea of the overall look they want to achieve, as well as a floorplan and budget if available. The more information a client can bring to the table, the better, as it helps me to tailor the kitchen to their needs and desires.
How long does the planning process usually take?
The preliminary design may take me a few days to complete. The entire process from start to finish is mostly client driven. It can be anywhere from a few weeks to a few years.
What are some of the colors/finishes/products that are most popular in Dallas?
Lacquers are very popular. Also mixing muted tones of wood veneer with matte lacquer has become popular—very understated and elegant.
What makes Poggenpohl different from any other kitchen outfitter?
Poggenpohl is a leader, not a follower. Some features that all other kitchen outfitters have, we don’t, just because we don’t want to be like everyone else. Instead, we innovate and show features that no other kitchen-cabinet company has.
