From workshops to curated holiday markets, our inboxes are full with exciting December design events. Here, we’ll share a few you’ll want to plug into your calendar.

Holiday Card Making at PaperSource // Dec 3

Maybe you didn’t exactly nail that group photo during the last family vacation. No worries. You can still send original holiday cards thanks to PaperSource’s helpful workshop. Sign up to reserve your spot in the Thursday class ($28) at their NorthPark location.

Shoppes on Hi Line Holiday Market // Dec 5

Head to the Design District from 9am–3pm this Saturday to discover holiday gifts from local artisans and vendors, enjoy bites from your favorite eateries, including Bisous Bisous Patisserie, or give a furry friend a forever home. Bring the little ones for a photo op with Santa.

Saturdays at The Citizenry Studio // Dec 5, 12, & 19

Now that The Citizenry‘s new brick-and-mortar location is officially open on Insurance Lane, they’ve announced a solid lineup of complimentary in-store Saturday events with other local favorites to lift your holiday spirits (and drink them, too). Each event takes place from 11am–3pm.

  • 12.05 – Booze it up with Temperance Bitters Co.
  • 12.12 – Indulge with Hot Cocoa from Dude Sweet Chocolate
  • 12.19 – Personalize gifts with cards from Eclectic Press

Love Struck Co. Holiday Pop Up at West Elm // Dec 12

In November, we gave you the low down on local candle queen Jennifer White. On Saturday, Dec. 12, you can shop her simple, cleverly named collection of holiday candles during The Love Struck Co.’s West Elm pop-up in Mockingbird Station. Our choice for best-smelling candle: “Elf Kisses.”

VeeCaravan Holiday Pop-Up Shop Dec 11, 12 & 13

The Dallas-based online lifestyle shop always curates something wonderful for their monthly pop-up shops, but their holiday event might just be their best yet. Stop by 2614 West Elm Street next weekend to shop ceramics, paper goods, art, jewelry, clothing, and gifts by VeeCaravan’s favorite independent designers.

Japanese Origami Ornaments Workshop // Dec 12

Trade in the middle school popsicle ornaments in favor of some new handmade decorations. Sign up for We Are 1976’s Japanese Origami Ornaments Workshop next Saturday and add some folded goodness to the tree this year.

Tyler + Davis Holiday Market // Dec 12 & 13

Join Best of Big D winner Set & Co. for a holiday market in Oak Cliff featuring some of Texas’ most talented artists and vendors. Keep an eye out for Bell and Oak’s leather wares, OddBird’s Turkish towels, Wheat & Sour’s artisan breads and pastries, and Pastrana Studio’s beautifully made wooden furniture.
