If you’ve caught a glimpse of our latest issue, you may not have recognized us. Our cover wasn’t adorned with its usual well-appointed dining room or inviting living space. No enviable entryway was beckoning you to rifle through the pages. This year’s annual “Best of the Big D” issue is filled with the cream of the home and garden crop, giving our associate creative director Jamie Laubhan-Oliver the opportunity to try something a little different.

With the help of Mark Mummie and Matt Charles of Gratuitous Sets, Laubhan-Oliver created 10 two-foot-tall, three-dimensional letters topped and surrounded by pieces sourced from local shops and showrooms. If one of those lovely aforementioned touches caught your eye, we’ve provided a few details below on where to snag them.
