Do you like to home ogle? Do you like driving by houses and thinking to yourself, “I’ve been in there. Their indoor hot tub was quite appealing”? Do you actually need to find a new home to live in? Every other week, we scout out three open houses in three different neighborhoods that look well worth the trip.

4425 Southern Avenue | Open Sunday,  2 – 4 pm

Southern 2

The Neighborhood: Highland Park

The Price: $2,575,000

Why It Looks Cool: You don’t see a ton of modern homes in Highland Park, so while it’s always exciting to see one from the curb, it’s an even greater thrill to be able to ogle its interior awesomeness. Plus, with its clean lines and chic mod design, 4425 Southern Avenue couldn’t possibly disappoint.

6540 Vanderbilt Avenue | Open Sunday, 2 – 4 pm

lakewood 2

The Neighborhood: Lakewood

The Price: $970,000

Why It Looks Cool: The description on Ebby.com describes this home as “a Lakewood dream!” And you know, it kind of is. It’s a large, stunning Tudor home. It’s within walking distance of Lakewood Elementary. There’s both a game room and a theater room for the kids, plus a wine room and wet bar for the parents. So yeah, it’s the dream!

5216 Park Ridge Road | Open Sunday, 1 – 3 pm

flower mound 2

The Neighborhood: Somewhere in Flower Mound

The Price: $875,000

Why It Looks Cool: Listen, I know Flower Mound isn’t exactly Dallas, but this place has panoramic windows. There are rooms so white, and alternatively, so colorful, that I feel my eyes beginning to burn just looking at these photos. Long story short, it’s hip in 5216 Park Ridge Road. And sometimes, a high amount of hipness is worth the drive.
