If I weren’t lucky enough to reside in the Big D, and were planning a visit to our fair city this weekend, here are a few places I would very much like to rest my head.
A Charming White Room by White Rock | 5/5 Stars
Neighborhood: Little Forest Hills
Guests Allowed: 2 Guests (Private Room)
Price: $65 per night
Cool Perks: There’s a warm breakfast included. And coffee! If I were you, I’d take that coffee to go and enjoy a ten-minute walk to the Arboretum to take in some nature. Or maybe I’d even head to White Rock to take in even more nature and aquatic activities. Here, the world is your oyster, and the extremely accommodating Alicia is your guide.
Featured Review: From the moment we spoke over the phone with you…we were home again. From the moment we entered your home…we retired fulfilled. From the moment we dined together…we didn’t want to sleep. The moment we slept on your cozy bed…we were in Peace. When we woke…I smelt the raisin bread. As we put our feet up looking at trees in your garden…we became Adam & Eve. {June 2015}
The Butterfly House | No Reviews Yet
Neighborhood: Uptown
Guests Allowed: 6 Guests (Entire Home)
Price: $450 Per Night (2 night minimum)
Cool Perks: Yes, it’s a bit kitschy. But how fun would it be to stay here for the weekend? Butterflies can be found at practically every turn in the aptly named house, including a presence in some impressive floral lawn art. There is also a lot of pink. So grab your girlfriends and your DVD copy of Steel Magnolias. Read up on the fantastic State Thomas District, and prepare to take some serious selfies in front of this yellow, green, white, and pink Uptown cottage.

Craig’s Contemporary Townhouse | 5/5 Stars
Neighborhood: Oak Lawn
Guests Allowed: 2 Guests (Private Room)
Price: $95 per night
Cool Perks: The interior is cool but still cozy. The proximity to great restaurants and entertainment is perfect for out-of-town visitors. Also, the extremely well reviewed Craig seems like a pretty great dude. The proof? His only “House Rule” is “To have an enjoyable experience while visiting Dallas.” See the below review for more on Craig’s awesomeness.
Featured Review: Craig was incredible. The space was gorgeous! Craig is outgoing, fun, helpful and just all around wicked cool. I would stay here just to visit with him again. {From Longview, TX · July 2015}
1940s Remodel by Love Field | No Reviews Yet
Neighborhood: Northwest Dallas
Guests Allowed: 7 Guests (entire home)
Price: $599 Per Night (2 night minimum)
Cool Perks: Nestled between Love Field and Highland Park, the smart little home on Kenwell Street would be extremely easy to get to from the airport. Though the location is great, you’d be hard pressed to ever want to leave the comfort of the welcoming backyard complete with Tiki torches, Adirondack chairs circling a fire pit, and a hot tub.
