It didn’t take long for me to recognize the newly listed 10719 Bridge Hollow Court. The breezeway entry of the Santa Barbara style home in Preston Hollow instantly took me back to one of my favorite D Home features: Inside PGA Golfer Hunter Mahan’s Home. It’s a lovely story about how the golfer and the former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Kandi Mahan, fell in love and built their dream home, but it also features one of the most memorable interiors that, while inspiring and beautiful, was equally fun and playful – perfect for the young family that occupied it. Credit the golf-simulator room, the indoor basketball court, the 12-car underground garage with a mural of the Augusta National clubhouse, where the Masters is played, and of course, designer Debra Owens.

The beautiful Mediterranean isn’t just for sports fans though. The 10,000 square foot home boasts an magnificent master suite, a culinary center, and a colorful playroom for kids. The backyard infinity pool with its gorgeous mosaic tile is just another added perk.

The West Coast-inspired Preston Hollow pad built by Mark Molthan is certainly infused with a little Mahan magic, but any home that can blend contemporary touches with a feel that’s cozy and comfortable is pretty spectacular all on its own.
