VeeCaravan Pop-Up | Through May 9
If you pride yourself on shopping local (as you should!), you must take a trip to the VeeCaravan Pop-Up Shop this weekend on Elm Street. The online home décor and furnishings shop curated by Dallas-based couple Christine and Steven Visneau is pairing up with local makers like Gaston Made (furniture), Deep Vellum (publisher), and Like Highlands Creamery (ice cream) for a special two-day event. DJ A.D.H.D. will provide the soundtrack. So you see, you really must be there!
West Elm | Through May 11
Whoever is creating the names for West Elm’s sales must be a very passionate person. Last week we featured “The Need-It-Now Sale!” This week, it’s “The Softest Sale.” No exclamation point, but we do get an underline and the superlative degree. I dig it. If you’re going to put things on sale, you might as well put your all into it. Also, bedding, rugs, curtains, bath, pillows and throws are all 20% off through Monday, May 11. Get your soft on.
Calypso St. Barth | Through May 18
Calypso is combining lots of wonderful things for their bi-annual clothing drive. First off, they’ve partnered with online re-commerce site, Fashion Project and the organization She’s The First to help girls in low-income countries become student leaders and break the cycle of generational poverty. Second, they’ll be accepting your like-new clothing at the boutique through May 18. A 20% discount will be offered for any garment donations as well as for monetary donations made online. Thrift Studio | Third Weekend
Thrift Studio is still going strong in its third weekend over at the Dallas Design Center. They just received a boat load of pillows and they’ll be hosting their Mother’s Day Mimosas event tomorrow.
