I haven’t actually seen Dinner With Jackson Pollock: Recipes, Art & Nature in real life yet, but I hope to very soon. Here’s the thing: I do not cook, but I am very intrigued by the idea of a cook book created from handwritten recipes of Jackson Pollock, wife Lee Crasner, his mom, and his friends. Don’t you want to know what Jackson Pollock was eating? I do. But I’m also super intrigued by that kind of thing. (I’m dying to follow Nancy Rogers around and see what she buys at the grocery store. Does she go to the grocery store? Is she a Tom Thumb lady or Whole Foods only? I have so many questions.) But in addition to recipes, the book also features artwork and stories about dinner parties. The book is a mere $50, and you can preorder here. Question: if we eat like Jackson Pollock, will we become as creative as Jackson Pollock? It’s an experiment worth trying. I will volunteer, but someone might need to lend me some cooking items like a bowl, pan, measuring cups, oven, stove, etc.
