Did you know that sometimes I go to fun parties and eat fancy foods and sip sparkling sodas? Well, I do. And the other night, I was at a party at Dallas Auction Gallery, and I could not help but notice a gigantic piece hanging from the rafters. The large Louis XVI-style lantern is made of crystal and bronze with curved glass panels and surrounded by foliate scrolls and crystal drops with female masks and completed with 12 scrolling lights and crystal drops over crystal swags. Now obviously, if you are an apartment dweller like your humble friend Laura, this is not going to work for you. But if you have a home with a living area where you could host an impromptu lacrosse game, you should totally bid on this when it goes to auction. FYI:the pre-sale estimate is $15,000-$20,000.
