Join the Texas Chapter of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Oklahoma Chapter of International Interior Design Association (IIDA) for their 12th year of MetroCon, with MetroCon14.
The event will be on Thursday, August 14 & Friday, August 15, 2014, held at the Dallas Market Hall (2200 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75207).
This regional expo and conference will have 400 booths with over 280 companies participating in the event, topping last year’s 190 businesses. This expo is for professionals and students in the corporate, residential, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, institutional, and education design fields.
One of the major aspects of this conference are the continuing education classes, with 50 CEU topics offered in 54 classes. Topics range from improving acoustics, indoor air quality, and a series of classes about designing safe and innovative homes for aging Baby Boomers.
Key elements include a talk from ASID Executive Vice President/CEO Randy Fiser and a Social Media Hive featuring Nomad by palmerHAMILTON’s Hive product, presented by this year’s Landmark Sponsor; Business Interiors by STAPLES. Also there will be a student programming area where students can get portfolio and resume feedback and have one-on-one conversations with companies who hire interior designers. Lastly, get ready to go on the Kohler Toilet Tour Bus brought by Apex Supply Co., where you can see what makes their “toilets a flush above the rest”.
2,500 guests are expected in attendance, so this is a great event to make connections with those in the architecture and interior design industry. With such a jam-packed schedule, download the MetroCon app on iTunes that will give instructions on where to park, event information, CEU schedule, and foot and beverage choices.
If you’re interested in attending, you can sign up at the event.
You can find information about MetroCon14 here.
Please note that this expo and conference is not a consumer show, but a trade show for those in the architecture and interior design industry.
