An Editor’s Diary: I Want In the Park Cities Online Yard Sale

Are you a part of the club?

A Bon Jovi framed gold record for $100. A partly used 1-pound tub of Country Time lemonade for $5.  A Sparkman/Hillcrest cemetery plot (with a nice view of Neiman Marcus!) for $7,500. These are just a few of the things recently for sale on the Park Cities Online Yard Sale. We’re sure quite a few of you are members of this “club,” which has almost 10,000 members and a 4,500 person wait list for entry. And we’re sure some of you understand our frustration with not being able to get in. One of the unlucky 4,500 penned her pain in the August issue of D Magazine, while she (still) awaits to be added.

If you’re a member of the club, we want to know: do you still love being a member of the Park Cities Online Yard Sale? Have you ever bought anything from the site? How do you feel about the upcoming changes?

This story originally ran in the August 2014 issue of D Magazine.
