Good Housekeeping: Good-looking Garment Racks

Let's hang out.

Like most women, I love my clothes. Like most college students, I don’t quite have the wherewithal for a dreamy walk-in closet just yet. I’m not the kind of person to shove sweaters and dresses into drawers just because I’m a little low on space; those puppies deserve to be pristine and hung up in all their unwrinkled glory.

Instead, I’ve found a creative alternative, thanks to a little help from my garment rack via Target. I made the investment last summer and it is by far my favorite piece of décor and my most useful piece of furniture to date. It fits easily against my bedroom wall without protruding into my limited space. The wooden legs make this piece a prettier version of the typical metal-rod garment racks you usually see in department stores. And, as an added bonus, there’s a beige shoe holder at the racks base: a lifesaver if you’re an organizational snob who hates shoes all over your floor like me.

Unfortunately, the rack I bought is no longer available for purchase. But, lucky for you, I found a similar one on Houzz for an easy 30 bucks; or, if you’re ready to splurge, get this gorgeous, more industrial-looking garment rack on Etsy.
