So when Gallerie Noir shared that me, a commoner, could own something that Queen Bey picked out for her abode, I was giddy. The gallery is exhibiting Lyle Owerko’s “The Boombox Project,” which can be spotted in the background of this Instagram photo, until February 21. Owerko’s collection is an oral history of hip-hop, using the old-school music machine to represent pop culture and the founding fathers of hip-hop.
