I’m all about fresh florals around the house, especially in the spring and summer when they’re so abundant. But it’s no secret that keeping flowers in your home consistently can be an expensive practice to maintain! In my book, low maintenance is good maintenance. Hence, my obsession with Craspedia (also known as billy buttons, woollyheads, or {my personal fave} yellow pom pom flowers.
You buy it fresh, arrange it, and then leave it. Simple as that. The globular poms dry beautifully and maintain not only their shape but their cheerful color as well. I can’t think of a better bang for your buck when it comes to decorative accents.
Apparently, I’m not the only one in love with these easy florals either. Joslyn is savvy to this decorating trick as well and uses the pom pom generously throughout her home. In addition, she had the brilliant idea* to cover one her arrangements with this charming glass bell cover. In this way, her perfectly dried flowers won’t end up with a layer of bothersome dust covering their pretty yellow tops.
*Ed: Hilary you flatter me…Oh and the real story behind that bell jar situation is that my damn cat wouldn’t stop messing with the yellow pompoms. 😉
