I had the pleasure of interviewing South American furniture designer Adriana Hoyos for a Shop Talk piece for this month’s D Home. She is a very busy lady. She opened her third U.S. showroom (she has 11 internationally) in Dallas last month. She designs projects for high-end clients and hotels around the world. She jets here and there and everywhere else (her original designs were sketched on an airplane napkin). The best part? She is a very lovely and humble woman.

Check out her line at the new 3,500-square-foot showroom. It’s chock full of architectural-inspired designs such as tables, beds, sofas, and chairs. Hoyos told me that she pays much attention to the proportion of each piece with each one reflecting a sculpture of sorts. She also keeps the client’s need to customize in mind. The showroom features a Design Your Own program. Every item in the store is customizable with a choice of 11 finishes, five tops and up to 40 fabric options. You do the math. It’s an endless amount of possibilities. You can read more about Adriana and the showroom here.
