With the recent “shopping for a cause” trend on the rise (think: Warby Parker, TOMS, Ashley Pittman), it’s no wonder Nest is getting in the game. For the entire month of February bring in non-perishable goods to donate to The Salvation Army and you’ll receive discounts on gifts, furniture, and home accessories. For each item donated, you’ll receive one percent off qualifying merchandise for a max of 20 percent off. Oh, and sale items are not off limits! Keep the donations coming, because the person who contributes the most items will receive a $500 gift card. If you’re wondering what exactly to bring, The Salvation Army requests items like cereal, tuna, peanut butter, canned soup, as well as baby formula, diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, and laundry detergent. I know you’ve got a few of these things at the house. Put them to good use and get to shopping.
