Drink Drinks and Do Good at CityWalk Tonight

|

Still trying to work out where to have happy hour and/or how you can make a difference today? I can help on both fronts. Check out a cocktail reception at CityWalk on Akard Street tonight at 5:30 pm. While you enjoy drinks you will also be contributing the design and construction of a playground for the 38 children of formerly homeless and low-income families transitioning to self-sustained living. My friend, the lovely and fabulous Christine Rogers says: “The project was founded by AIA’s Emerging Leaders class to give a place for the children to play outside their apartments—there are no playgrounds nearby. The Emerging Leaders class has been salvaging pieces of playgrounds and are actively seeking grants and donations for the remaining components of the playground that can’t be salvaged.”
