Long before the Bishop Arts District became one of Dallas’ hottest destinations, owners Michael Harrity and Paul Kirkpatrick took a big gamble and opened their chic gift shop in the then fledgling area. That was back in 1996 when people still raised an eyebrow when you said you lived in Oak Cliff. Now, the neighborhood is a retail and restaurant Mecca thanks to pioneers like Harrity and Kirkpatrick.
