The fifty year old Pinnacle Auction Galleries is opening for the first time in Dallas this week, collaborating with showrooms all over the Dallas Design District to provide great, I mean great items for the auction this Saturday, July 30. But, I suggest the Preview Party first—Thursday, July 28, from 6-8 at 1323 Stemmons Freeway with goodies from Times Ten Cellar and Meddlesome Moth, and an after-party at the Moth later on for the serious set. (They obviously get Dallas when their first event has an after-party, I like it.) And, best of all, the $10 donation goes to benefit Dallas’ shining star, Dwell With Dignity. So, if you’re not quite up to the kind of hunting our brave and ferocious art director Jaime Laubhan-Oliver and photographer Elizabeth Lavin do scrounging around metal scrap yards in 110 degree heat, this is a much more civilized hunting event.
