I just came from checking out the new Christian Liagre showroom at the George Cameron Nash showroom. In typical George fashion the space is perfectly designed to the straight lines and sexy-chic style of the furniture—silky smooth white walls, polished dark floors, and the most perfect rug choice in the world for the furniture, and something I wouldn’t have thought of. Plain white sisal with black canvas border—go see for yourself how they make the rooms. But, what caught my eye even in the midst of the gorgeous appeal of the Christian Liagre line, were these small white marble tables. Aptly called the Nuage Tables (nuage=cloud in French), they are sculpted white-gold plated bronze with Carrara marble tops, and are by the French artist Sophie Lafont. They provide a decidedly feminine touch to the otherwise masculine look of the collection. Want to see more cool cigarette tables? Have to wait for the September issue of DHome.
