Sabina Fay Braxton Bedazzles

I’ve been a big fan of Sabina Fay Braxton since I first saw her velvets at the Allan Knight’s, we even awarded her Merit pattern “Best New Fabric” in 2010. So, I was thrilled to crash her sales meeting at the Allan Knight Showroom. She showed some new patterns and went through a (hopefully) logical explanation of how to order custom handmade fabric so that artisans in Venice and Kilkenny, Ireland can create fabrics for clients half a world away. Of course, it helps for buyers to understand that what they receive may not be exactly like the sample they hold in their hand, and that’s the beauty of handmade, hand painted, and hand gaufraged fabric. It’s good enough for Lacroix, Valentino, and Armani, and, of course, Dumbledore.
