I love museum shops. I once wrote about Christmas shopping story for D, wherein I only “shopped” in museum stores for my famous friends. I started a conversation (and made some people mad) when I commented on some questionable items in one particular museum shop on Front Row. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with From the Mixed -Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, so shopping in museums is the next best thing to living in them, I guess. Last month, my friend Rhonda and I headed to Fort Worth to check out the latest and greatest in the Cultural District. Today, I want to talk a little about the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame’s delightful store. First of all, could it be any cuter? No, it could not. And if you don’t currently own a ranch, after a visit here, you will want to make your home on the range. Think colorful pillows by Cupcakes & Cartwheels, cute aprons, fun napkins by Ideal Home Range, and Western-themed Christmas ornaments (yes, you even now!). Need a cigar store Indian? You can find it here. Looking for a tray that says, “Outlaws welcome, in-laws call first”? Got it! Check out the May/June issue of D Home for more of our adventures in Fort Worth.
