Before Midnight: Help A Brother (And A Sister) In Joplin, Missouri

By |

D and all of its sister publications have for years maintained tight friendships with editors and publishers at all of the regional and city magazines across the country. Following the devastating tornado that felled Joplin, Missouri, friends at the Springfield, Missouri, publication 417 Magazine created a deal of the day program to funnel donations straight to “Convoy of Hope.” These people are there, on the ground, and know what’s happening. And what is happening is small hell.

Says publisher Gary Whitaker, “Based on Convoy’s wholesale buying strategy on food, clothing and medical supplies, every $1 donated to Convoy equals $7 in actual buying power. Based on requests and inquiries from our readers, and friends at other city and regional magazines around the country, we’re keeping the donation portal live on our Deal of the Day site. And if you’re visiting this page from out of town, we welcome you and hope you’ll consider donating to the Joplin relief efforts.”

They’re asking for $10 donations. Let’s give them some Dallas love. Gotta do it before midnight tonight.
