The Dallas-Fort Worth commercial real estate industry is a community—perhaps more so than in any other market in the country. Among us are the developers who forge legacies across North Texas and brokers chasing their next big deal. Site selectors and economic development agencies who help attract new companies and talent to the region, and investors and financers ensuring we have the capital to grow.

On-the-ground insights from these professions and more help D CEO tell the tale of the commercial industry in North Texas. Eleven years ago, when we launched D CEO Real Estate (originally known as Real Points), our mission was to cover the industry in a new way—going beyond the who-what-when-where of typical news reports to tell you how it happened and why it matters. So, we invited area experts to serve as contributing editors. We sought out executives from various market sectors and geographies, knowledgeable thought leaders who weren’t afraid to voice their opinions.

That first year, 75 industry notables shared their on-the-ground insights. For 2022, that number has grown to 128 leaders from 65 North Texas companies—including about 40 newcomers. The roster includes emerging leaders and data experts along with seasoned pros like Jon Altschuler, Bill Cawley, Terrence Maiden, Linda McMahon, Michele Wheeler, and more.
