DFW Healthcare Brief: The 100 Great Nurses of DFW and Memorial Hermann’s Joint Venture with Dallas-Area Home Health Provider

The list of 2023 DFW “Great 100 Nurses” list has been released. The organization received over 700 applications this year and only 100 honorees made the list. Nurses who made the honoree list were recognized for excellence in nursing skills and for patient care, academics, education, community service, research, and leadership roles.   This year’s list includes 14 from Baylor Scott and White Health, four from Children’s Health, four from JPS Health Network, 17 from Medical City Healthcare, six from Methodist Health System, eight from Parkland Health, 29 from Texas Health, and 11 from UT Southwestern Medical Center. Scottish Rite for Children announced its 27th annual Treasure Street will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2023. The public is invited to enjoy an evening out in Dallas, in the spirit of fundraising for Scottish Rite. Tickets are $100 per person and will include dinner and drinks. Purchase tickets at treasurestreet.org. The event will take place at the Blue Crayon parking lot at the Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic Hospital in Dallas. Treasure Street has raised more than $17 million since 1996, when the gala first began. Sponsorship opportunities are available and start at $300. Accentcare, a post-acute health care service, and Memorial Hermann Health System, a non-profit health system, announced the creation of a new joint venture that will serve the greater Houston area. The agreement, which was finalized on April 1, 2023, will combine the former Texas Home Health, the former Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, and now the Memorial Hermann and AccentCare names into one entity. The joint venture will be operated and managed by AccentCare and is set to become the largest provider of in-home health care services in South Texas.  


Irving-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM), a management services company that serves oral and maxillofacial surgeons, is announcing new partnerships which will include four surgery practices. The latest partners include North Sound Oral & Facial Surgery of Washington, DMD, Central Coast Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of California, Clark & Patel Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of California, and Gulf Coast Oral and Facial Surgery of Mississippi. Founded in 2017, USOSM has more than 180 partner practices in over 24 states, with an added $100 million in acquired revenue last year. All four partner practices will offer the full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures.
