Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 485 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths on Friday.


Less than 2.5 years into the pandemic, one million people in the United States have died from COVID-19. The data is based on death certificate data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics, Dallas Morning News reports.


A North Texas clinic is working on an experimental treatment to improve the long term effects of COVID-19, WFAA reports. Lone Star Pain Medicine in Weatherford is treating parosmia, where the brain cannot properly identify an object’s smell.
