Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 549 new COVID-19 cases and eight deaths on Monday.


COVID-19 vaccinations rise in the US after several weeks of steady decline, reports the Chicago Tribune. The bulk of the recent vaccinations were booster doess, data shows.


Getting COVID-19 twice is more common as immunity wanes. Houston Today says that recent studies done in England suggest 10% of reported cases are reinfections.


According to the New York Times, a drugmaker said a new medication slashed deaths among patients with severe COVID-19. A late-stage trial was halted after strong early results. Read more here.
