The partnership will connect patients to physicians, labs, physical therapy, imaging services, and education minutes from the hospital. Texas Health partnered with three private practices in the area, including Water Oak Foot and Ankle Surgery, Lone Star Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists, and Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute.

The University of Texas at Arlington selected Barbara St. Pierre Schneider to be the Endowed Chair in gerontological Nursing Excellence and serve on the graduate nursing department at the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Schneider is known for her work studying aging, and is a senior nursing faculty member with experience in nursing and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and others.
