Pfizer moves closer to vaccine for kids under 5. Hospitalizations drop.

NBC DFW reports that Pfizer CEO says chances are very high that the FDA will approve low-dose COVID-19 shots for kids under 5. Pfizer and BioNTech asked the FDA last week to expand authorization for its vaccine to kids under 5.

Fox 4 says that North Texas COVID-19 hospitalizations drop by nearly 1,000 in one week.  There are 2,439 patients with COVID-19 in North Texas hospital region as of February 7.  


From CBS News, Johnson & Johnson halts production of single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. Reports say the pharmaceutical company quietly shut down production at a plant in the Netherlands and has been using the plant to work on a potentially more profitable drug that could protect against an unrelated respiratory virus.
