UT Southwestern sequencing has identified the omicron variant. The loneliness pandemic is growing.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported a three-day total of 896 new COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths.


The Dallas Morning News reports that the omicron variant has been found in via UT Southwestern’s sequencing efforts. The Texas Department of State Health Services verified the case on Monday, though the lab declined to share where the patient is from and when they were diagnosed with COVID-19.
