Dallas Judge Clay Jenkins reported 400 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths on Monday.


Dallas ISD is offering free COVID-19 vaccines to children 5 and older, KERA reports. 8 Dallas ISD schools are holding vaccination clinics for students ages five to 11 of the district. First doses will be given on Nov. 20 and second doses will be given on Dec. 11 at the same schools. Find participating clinics here.


Unvaccinated Texans are 40 times more likely to die from COVID-19, new Texas Department of State Health Services study finds, WFAA reports. This study is an analysis of millions of death and test records between Jan. 15 to Oct. 1. DSHS estimates 20-25% of Texans don’t have immunity from COVID-19, concerning another spike and stress on healthcare systems during flu season.


Federal appeals court temporarily halts big business vaccine mandate, NBC reports. This appeal on Saturday temporarily halted the Biden administration’s vaccine requirement for businesses with 100 or more workers. The Biden administration must provide an expedited reply to the motion for a permanent injunction Monday 11/08, followed by petitioners’ reply on Tuesday 11/09.
