Medical City Lewisville has earned a Level II Maternal Designation from the Texas Department of State Health Services. The hospital went through a two-year review process, and the facility can now provide care for pregnant and postpartum patients with medical surgical and/or obstetrical conditions with low to moderate risk.

Independent physician group Genesis Physicians Group improved care for over 6,500 Medicare beneficiaries across the region, saving Medicare $8.6 million in 2020. In three years, Genesis has saved $14.6 million through the Medicare Shared Savings Program. The group is in the third ranked in Texas for its savings rate of 11 percent and received a 96.9 percent quality score on performance measures.

Irving-based healthcare sharing ministry OneShare Health surpassed $114 million in administered sharing for members, which includes medical costs and expenses. Members contribute to the fund, and the funds are a sign of the Health Care Sharing Community’s growth.

Senior living community CC Young is expanding its hospice program to include a 16-bed general inpatient hospice unit, which is opening this month. Hospice patients and their families will benefit from extra layers of clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual support. The inpatient unit is in CC Young’s skilled nursing and assisted living building, which opened this year.
