Bank of America's gift to Parkland and Red Bird, Dialectic's funding boost, Medical City hospitals recognized, and more.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded a $1 million grant to support construction the RedBird Health Center from Parkland Health & Hospital System. The center will offer several vital health services when it opens later this month.


Dallas-based Dialectic Therapeutics Inc., a clinical stage biotechnology company aimed at cancer treatment, has received a $14.4 million grant from the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT). The grant will give a boost to Dialectic’s lead product,  which targets lymphoma.


Healthgrades has recognized eight Medical City Healthcare for women’s services in the 2021 Women’s Care Awards. Medical City Alliance, Medical City Arlington, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Las Colinas, Medical City Lewisville, Medical City McKinney, Medical City Plano, and Medical City Weatherford were all recognized for their quality outcomes.


Caris Life Sciences will be adding the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Alabama at Birmingham to the Company’s Precision Oncology Alliance. The alliance now consists of more than 50 cancer centers and academic institutions that work together to advance cancer profiling. The O’Neal center is the only organization in the state to offer precision medicine services.
