Dallas County Judge reported 1,110 new cases and five deaths on Monday.

There are 3,348 COVID-19 patients in North Texas hospitals, an increase from yesterday of 229.  This represents 22.98 percent of available bed capacity and 50.37 percent of adult ICU patients, DFW Hospital Council CEO Steve Love reports.

UT Dallas is now paying students $125 to be vaccinated, the Dallas Morning News reports. They also have the chance to earn a $12,000 scholarship through the Comet Vaccine Incentive Program, which runs from now through Sept. 27.

The state’s unemployment rate has dipped below 6.5 percent meaning that extended unemployment benefits will end next month. There had previously been 13 additional weeks of assistance that was triggered by the 6.5 percent threshold.
