Dallas County has lowered the coronavirus threat level to yellow, the Dallas Morning News reports. This means unvaccinated people can safely resume activities like eating inside restaurants, shopping and travel.

A new Delta variant of the coronavirus, which was first discovered in India, is growing in Texas and the U.S. According to the CDC, it made up only two percent of cases in the Southwest region but now has grown to ten percent. Although the Delta variant is more contagious, vaccinations are still effective against it. Learn more with WFAA.
