You no longer need appointments to book a vaccine at Fair Park. On average, 175 nursing home residents died per week last year.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 444 new COVID-19 cases and 26 deaths on Friday and Saturday. There were no lines at the mega site in Fair Park, despite less than a quarter of the state having been vaccinated from the virus.


Dallas County’s vaccine site at Fair Park allows patients to book their own vaccine appointments due to the increased vaccine supply in the state, the Dallas Morning News reports.


Last year, about 175 nursing home residents died every week due to COVID-19, the Texas Tribune reports. January was the worst month, when 1,400 nursing home residents died from the virus.
