COVID-19 Bulletin (01/25/20)

Around 300 people are dying from COVID-19 statewide each day.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 1,174 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths on Sunday, following 1,910 new cases and 21 deaths on Saturday. There were 31 deaths on Friday as well.


Health officials are instructing those who have received the vaccine to get their second dose at the same location. Depending on which vaccine the patient received, they need to return to their vaccine location three or four weeks after their first dose. The Dallas Morning News has more.


Hospital ICUs are at capacity all across Texas, and around 300 people are dying  per day statewide, the Texas Tribune reports.


A Fort Worth health center is targeting underserved patients and trying to achieve equal distribution for those who need the vaccine’s protection most. The patients are considered medically disadvantaged and in areas that are vulnerable to the disease, KERA reports.
