COVID-19 Bulletin (01/19/21)

The more contagious version of COVID-19 has arrived in Dallas, but Sunday's case numbers were down.

Dallas County Judge reported a lower number of cases on Sunday, adding just 1,377 after more than 2,800 on Saturday.


Dallas County has confirmed its first case of the more contagious version of COVID-19, the Dallas Morning News reports. The man in his 20s had not been traveling, meaning it is being spread through the community.


An anti-vaccine nonprofit received funds from the Paycheck Protection Program last year, the Texas Tribune reports. Health experts worry about the mixed message of the government funding anti-vaccine groups while also encouraging the public to be vaccinated.
