Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 1,831 new COVID-19 cases on Monday with one death. The death was of a man in his 80s with no underlying high-risk health conditions.


Health experts warn of a COVID surge ‘unlike anything we have seen’ after Texas surpassed 1 million cases last week. With the holidays approaching, UT Southwestern scientists are predicting Dallas hospitalizations and daily case counts to reach record highs, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Cases across the state continue to surge with 7,200 Texans hospitalized on Sunday. Nearly 6,400 cases of COVID-19 cases were confirmed with nearly 90 new deaths across the state, The Texas Tribune reported.


Tarrant County continues to see record breaking daily case totals and hospitalizations. Over 740 residents in the county were hospitalized on Monday, with confirmation of 900 new cases. The last time Tarrant County hospitalizations were this high was mid-July, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
