Cases down from recent days, Fort Worth mayor recovers from COVID-19.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 702 new COVID-19 cases with five deaths. The deaths were of individuals in their 60s through 80s.


White House officials reported that COVID-19 is having a “full resurgence” in the state of Texas. New guidance was issued encouraging increased testing and more preventative COVID-19 measures in hospitals and schools, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Nearly 10,700 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Texas on Monday with 8,900 patients hospitalized due to the virus. There were 22 new deaths across the state, The Texas Tribune reported.


Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price and her husband fully recovered from COVID-19 on Monday after testing positive for the virus two weeks ago. Mayor Price said she is eager to get back to serving the city now that she has successfully recovered, KERA News reported.
