Texas bars may soon reopen. Dallas County experiences 450 new cases.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 450 new COVID-19 cases on Monday with one confirmed death. The death was of a woman in her 80s who was staying in a healthcare facility.


Texas Governor Greg Abbott reported that more openings may occur shortly as “the hospitalizations, number of new positive cases, and positivity rates remain contained.”


Tarrant County saw 266 COVID-19 cases on Monday with no deaths, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Over 16,000 Texans have died due to COVID-19 as of Monday, The Texas Tribune reported.
