Texas surpasses 15,000 dead from COVID-19, but hospitalizations and new case numbers continue to go down.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 141 COVID-19 cases on Thursday with three deaths. There were a total of 704 new cases, but 563 were from previous months.


Texas surpassed 15,000 total COVID-19 deaths this week. Hospitalizations continue to decline, occupying only 5.6 percent of beds, The Texas Tribune reported.


Medical City Dallas Dr. Bryan Thibodeau discussed the risks of overlap between COVID-19 and allergies as fall allergy season continues in North Texas, NBC News reported.


The U.S. COVID-19 death toll hit 200,000, as Dallas County and the state of Texas also reach bleak milestones this week, The Dallas Morning News reported.
