190 new cases in Dallas on Tuesday as Texas health officials change method of positivity rate reporting.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 190 COVID-19 cases with three deaths on Tuesday. The deaths included a man in his 50s and two women in their 80s.


Texas health officials announced they will be relying on a new method to calculate the daily COVID-19 positivity rate. Cases will now be evaluated based on when the test was administered as opposed to when it was reported, The Texas Tribune reported.


Tarrant County saw 385 confirmed cases with 51 probably cases. The deaths included individuals from Fort Worth and Hurst. 25-to-40-year-olds make up 37% of confirmed cases, NBC News reported.


2,595 new cases were reported in Texas were reported while hospitalization falls. COVID-19 patients occupy six percent of hospital beds in Texas, The Texas Tribune reported.
