Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 440 COVID-19 cases with 100 from previous months. There were three deaths of men in their 50s and 70s. As more businesses and schools open daily, Judge Jenkins encouraged Dallas residents to keep wearing a mask and avoiding unnecessary crowds.
Tarrant County saw 273 new COVID-19 cases on Monday with 2 deaths. County cases have now exceeded 44,700, NBC 5 reported.
Reports recently came back showing that there were 104 COVID-19 cases of school-aged children in Dallas during the week ending September 5, WFAA reported.
Despite some Texas bars being reopened for the first time in 10 weeks, public health officials advise against visiting bars to prevent the risk of another massive spread, The Dallas Morning News reported.
