Dr. Michelle Forbes will join the Catalyst Health Network leadership team as medical director of community health. The new position was created to address the healthcare needs of underprivileged communities in Dallas.
“The addition of a leader focused solely on community health is something that Catalyst has been working on since our formation five years ago,” said Catalyst President Dr. Christopher Crow via release. “We are determined to bring advanced primary care to all, regardless of their economic status, race or insurance coverage and Dr. Forbes has all of the qualifications and attributes to help get us there.”
Dr. Forbes has been a member of Catalyst Health Network for many years with contributions including her service on the Quality and Utilization Committee and participation in UT Dallas’ Executive Physician ACO Management Course. In 2014, she joined MD Pediatric Associates and began seeing patients in Flower Mound, TX.
“In her time working with Catalyst, Dr. Forbes has truly lived out our core values,” said Catalyst chief medical officer Dr. Jeffrey Bullard via release. “We look forward to working alongside her to strengthen our connections with all members of our community, furthering our commitment to helping communities thrive.”
Dr. Forbes completed her residency training at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas after graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
“My goal in this position is to listen—listen to our community leaders and truly understand their needs and then work with Catalyst to develop solutions that can actually make a difference in people’s lives,” Dr. Forbes said via release. “I am honored to be a part of this innovative, people-focused team that will allow me to make an impact in a real way.”
