Aspiring authors now have a chance to write a book to help children and teenagers develop a better understanding of the Coronavirus pandemic through a contest hosted by the Health Hacking Crisis Network.
The network is a group of people looking to use their talents and resources to solve health issues quickly. The contest asks for a Children’s COVID Story Book that targets those in pre-kindergarten through elementary school, and the Teen’s COVID Science Book is meant to provide better comprehension of the science behind the virus.
Children and teenagers are challenged to outline an original 500-word story, written in English, and submit their draft. Writers are encouraged to include as much detail as they wish, for it will help the panel of judges to better understand their ideas. As part of the same submission, the children and teenagers are allowed to submit artwork. If they choose to do so, artists need to use their first name and last name as a part of the file name.
