Texas breaks another record for hospitalizations. Dallas County adds 298 new cases.

Over 2000 people are hospitalized in Texas due to COVID-19, more than ever before for the second straight day. WFAA has more.

In Dallas County, 298 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday, tying the record for most cases in a single day, also adding seven deaths. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins says testing capacity has increased, and says hospitalizations have remained flat, KERA reports.

The Dallas Morning News has tracked where all the long-term care homes COVID-19 cases are in Dallas County. Three nursing homes are responsible for most of the infections.

Dallas County will open a pop-up COVID-19 testing sites for protestors, as they qualify for subsidized tests because considered a high-risk population. A test site for protestors will be established at the American Airlines Center, DMN reports.
