Patrick Rohan will be the chief executive officer for Medical City Frisco as of March 1, having served as COO of Medical City Plano and Frisco since 2017.

The 61-bed acute care hospital in Frisco has expanded services to offer a spine surgery program and comprehensive women’s and maternity care during Rohan’s tenure, and the facility is currently building a $54 million medical office building and ambulatory surgery center.

“For the past three years, Patrick has been instrumental in Medical City Frisco’s successful expansion to meet the growing healthcare needs of this dynamic community,” says Carlton Ulmer, CEO of Medical City Plano via release. “His strategic leadership as a hospital administrator directly correlates to safe, quality and compassionate care.”

Since July of 2019, Ulmer had been the CEO for both Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco. Ulmer was also a CEO of a Florida hospital, and has been in the HCA network for almost two decades.

Prior to his role at Medical City, Rohan was COO and Interim CEO at Plantation General Hospital in Plantation, Florida, which is part of the HCA Healthcare Network. While there, he managed the plans for a new $256 million hospital. Rohan also served at Kendall Regional Medical Center, JFK Medical Center, and Columbia Hospital in Florida.

“Patrick has a proven record of operational leadership with a dedication to providing exceptional, quality healthcare,” says Erol Akdamar,, president of Medical City Healthcare via release. “I am confident he will lead Medical City Frisco to the next level of excellence.”
