Two North Texans Appointed to Texas Medical Board

|

Arun Agarwal has been appointed to the Medical Board by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The Dallas-based textile entrepreneur is the CEO of Nextt, a company with a half-billion dollar annual revenue that sells sheets, towels, and pillows. He is joined by North Texas family practice physician Dr. Jason Tibbels.

The board’s mission is to improve the public’s health, safety and welfare by maintaining high standards and regulating the practice of medicine. Agarwal and Tibbels are joined by Dr. Devinder S. Bhaita, Vanessa Hicks-Callaway, Dr. Satish Nayak, and reappointed Dr. Robert David Martinez.

“I am honored and humbled to serve on the Texas Medical Board for the next five years,” said Agarwal via release. “Texans deserve the best standards in health care, and it will be our duty to regulate the practice of medicine in the state. It will be one of the highlights of my professional career.”

Agarwal is no stranger to board leadership and is on the board of the  US India Friendship Council, Big Brother Big Sisters, Texas Public Policy Foundation Education Committee, and the US Global Leadership Coalition.
